Before any of your networked computer systems can begin browsing the web, you must hook up the router's cable, set up its software and set up its Wi-Fi options.

Step1: Plug the Netgear WGT624's AC adapter into a wall plug. Connect an Ethernet wire into the yellow Ethernet port on the back of the Netgear router.  Attach the other end of the wire to the Ethernet slot on the returning of your modem.

Step2: Insert the set up CD that was involved with the Netgear WGT624 into your pc's cd drive. Simply select the language option you want to use and then click "Setup".

Step3: Follow the set up wizard's on-screen guidelines and then click "Finish". The wizard will automatically detect your Internet settings. Open a web browser and type "192.168.0.1" into the address bar and press Enter.

Step4: Type your username and password in the appropriate fields for login the panel. Click “OK”.

Step5: Click "Yes" and wait for the newest firmware update to set up. Double-click the update file and adhere to the on-screen guidelines to set up the update.

Step6: Click the "Wireless Settings" link if you want to code secure your wireless network system. Simply select the "WEP” option and then type password which you want to use for your system in the "Passphrase" written text box.

Step7: Click "Apply" and then close the web internet browser.
