Manually Configure a Linksys E3000
The Linksys E3000 comes with a CD containing the Cisco Connect software. This software is inserted after you connect the router to the PC, and automatically sets up the router to use your Internet connection without manual access to the router. If you do not have the CD or have damaged it, you can still set up the router to work with your network, as well as your Internet connection.

Step1: Open any Web browser on your computer, and type "192.196.1.1" into your browser's address field.

Step2: Log in to the router at the prompt by entering "admin" in both the username and password fields that appear, and then click "OK" to enter the router main menu.

Step3: Click on "Automatic Configuration - DHCP" at the "Internet Connection type" field box.

Step4:  Enter the username and password your ISP assigned to you in the respective fields below the "Internet Connection Type" box.

Step5:  Click "Save Changes" to save the router settings. The router connects to the Internet automatically.
